Alberto Chierici has a degree in Physics and in Statistics. He started working in the insurance industry as an actuary. He then self-thought coding and machine learning, and moved to roles in data science and consulting. Alberto founded Spixii in January 2016 with two other business partners. Spixii is on a mission to help more people get better protected by working in partnership with insurers to transform their digital customer experience. Spixii’s intuitive chatbots, which works just like messaging, replaces the online form and makes insurance quick, accessible and straightforward. Alberto is responsible for managing well designed, data-driven products.

Why your AI project will fail
In this talk, I’d like to draw upon the experiences at Spixii from the past two and half years. We built hundreds of customer experiences in the insurance industry using conversational interfaces. We have seen what works and what doesn’t. We want to share these stories to educate the audience about myths and misconceptions on AI and why good design and alignment to strategic and operational objectives are critical to moving from lab to business as usual.
